Luna wants Daddy. Daddy daddy daddy. If she wakes in the middle of the night, I will go in and she cries at me "No Mommy, I want Daddy" I tell her that Daddy needs sleep, but she could care less about that!
The other night, she was being a PITA** and Dr. Jay left her room. She opened her door to find me standing out in the hallway. I said, "Do you want Mommy?" She looked me in the eye, said "NO!" and slammed her door shut. She would rather be hiding in her room alone than be with mommy. Sigh.
However, we have decided to use this to our advantage. Luna goes nuts when Dr. Jay drops her off at daycare. Especially on Tuesdays. She spends Sat-Mon at home, and Mommy is with her most of the time. So if Daddy leaves her at daycare, she goes insane. If Mommy drops her off, eh, it’s just mommy!
So today, I took her to her class. She found her chair, sat down, waiting for snack as I filled in her data sheet. Then when I was ready to leave, I asked if she would push me out the door. She got up, ran over, helped me leave, slammed the door behind me, blew a kiss and back to her chair for her snack.
This is good, right?
* Soleil told Dr. Jay, "I love you daddy, but I love Mommy more"
