Posted by spacemom in : Life...otherwise , trackbackToday I had a mammogram. Very important. My doctor and I don’t suspect any problems, but she wants a baseline at age 35. If we see something when I am older, we have something to compare to.
This actually wasn’t painful, just uncomfortable..
Go. Do it.. Don’t be afraid, but do take care of yourself…

Thanks for the reminder. I am 33 but have been getting mammograms since I was 30 (breast cancer runs in my family). Like you said, it isn’t anything to be afraid of, and the peoople who do it are very professional so I haven’t ever felt weirded out.
I had one this year too - hated it… I just kept thinking the whole time “if this was a male technician I would walk out right now, stupid paper gown and all.” Yep, I’m a wimp…
