A little disturbed April 19, 2007

Posted by spacemom in : Nance , trackback

I have a ton that I want to write about(mostly  the mentally ill and the legal options against us and what could have been done with Cho), but today I am throwing myself into work.

I have been having a pain in my left side for awhile now. I mentioned this to my gyn last visit. It seemed associated with ovulation. However, it is getting more and more frequent. She told me to call in a few months if it persisted, so I called yesterday. She had me arrange for an appointment ASAP. She even double booked herself to see me tomorrow.

I want to just assume I have a harmless cyst or something like that. But…I am a little disturbed by how urgent she was to book me.

So please, distract me! Send me some jokes, some stories, remind me why I can’t run a fricken CGI script on a file in a secure area (YEA, I know I know, it just would have been easier to do it all via CGI)….

Oh Space Mom - I am happy to hear your doctor is being proactive. Alas I cannot help you with writing your script because, I, uh, I’m still working on a Commodore 64 over here.

No idea what a CGI script is, so no help there, but the chance for your Sabres to knock the Islanders on their ass tomorrow night would be a good thing to focus on if you need something to stress over. Or, you could just focus on the fact that the Rangers just SWEPT THEIR SERIES!!

I’ll be thinking about you tomorrow and sending you a virtual hand to hold.

Here’s hoping it’s just a cyst. Cysts can get pretty big and painful.

About the CGI script…is there a way to give scripts used by a specific log-in access to that secure file area? In other words, rather than giving access to *all* CGI scripts, just scripts run by a dummy user who has the right permissions? I don’t know much about unix/linux, so I don’t know if that would work, but I think it can be done on NT…
