are you serious?

From the National Weather Service:

.LOW PRESSURE FORMING IN LOUISIANA TONIGHT WILL TRACK TO OHIO BY
SUNDAY MORNING WHILE DEVELOPING A SECONDARY LOW CENTER IN EASTERN
VIRGINIA. THESE TWO LOW PRESSURE CENTERS WILL MERGE INTO A STORM
OVER EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS SUNDAY EVENING PRODUCING A WIND DRIVEN
POTPOURRI OF HAZARDOUS WEATHER THAT IS SURE TO CAUSE TIMES OF VERY
DIFFICULT TRAVEL SUNDAY INTO SUNDAY NIGHT.

Seriously? A "potpourri of hazardous weather"? Who the heck writes this stuff?

I am just thrilled by this…

  1. I love my Mr Figlet with a deep and burning passion but I’m afraid that he, being of a strongly techie orientation, could, in fact, apply the term “potpourri” to an assemblage of weather conditions that are sure to cause more than one artery clogger in your are-er, uh, area.

  2. I had to laugh at the potpourri comment too.

Watching the weather outside teh window and waiting for the potpourri to fall. After Thursday’s storm all I can say is at least it’s a sunday.

  3. Hehehe I wish our weather people were as poetic as this! Hey, maybe this guy is stuck in some kind of Groundhog Day loop, and he is getting near the last day, where he will deliver the perfect weather forecast (not quite there yet, obviously)!

We’re also in the middle of it up here in Montréal, but as for a pot-pourri, it’s mostly snow and wind…
