I often write about things that annoy the hell out of me. It makes me feel better. It is the Internet equivalent of Edvard Munch’s Scream.
So here are some little things that made me smile and warmed my soul lately:
- Luna waking me up at 4:45am so she could have company while she got up to pee in the potty instead of using her pull-up.
- Soleil snuggling up to me while watching the fireworks at New Year’s Eve.
- Jay’s breath on my neck at night
- The sunshine on the snow
- The ultimate quiet of snow falling.
- Watching the fire in our fireplace and enjoying the dance of the flames.
- A packet of thank you drawings from a class that I donated money towards a project for them.
What little things have made you happy lately?
1. Sofia potty-training..virutally on her own. She just knows her own mind.
2. Finally feeling better, after weeks of varying ills.
3. Getting to take down the Hanukkah and Christmas decorations…my house feels normal again.
4. Mindless reality tv.

1. We had a lovely snowfall a few days ago, you know, the kind with the big fluffy snowflakes that hold on to the branches and cover everything…it was a winter wonderland and just so peaceful!
2. Baby girl has now switched from a high chair to the “big girl” kitchen chair like the rest of us – she is thrilled by this development and feels the need to come hug DH, her big brother and I throughout her meal – she’s a free woman and enjoying it!lol
3. Finding just the right things as I start putting things together for our new house.
4. Hanging out with friends and family as everyone is on holiday for a few days.
5. Sledding with the kids… sledding just always makes me happy…just to look at the kids with their red cheeks and big smiles…so sweet!
