My plan for brainwashing WORKS! February 19, 2008

Yesterday was a tough day. I’ll keep the whine short, but it involved a 3 year old wanting to sleep in her  "beautiful red dress" and a 5 year old insisting that I didn’t understand how hard it was for her to eat vegetables. I do understand, Soleil, I do. I was pregnant with your sister and nearly vomited anytime I saw a veggie, but I ate them!

Last night, we finally had them both down. Jay and I played a round of Star wars Legos and then… Luna woke up. She was in pain. We finally figured out it was ear pain. I have an appointment at the otolyarengologist for March 3.  I finally got her calm by letting her watch hockey in our bedroom. We have the hockey package and the only game on was a California broadcast of the LA Kings vs the Phoenix Coyotes. During one ad for a Monster Truck rally, Luna told Jay, "We can’t buy that. It’s on TV and it’s in California."

Well, Color me happy! I’ve been telling her that I won’t buy things in ads just because the TV tells me to buy it.

However, I am still working on how she understands that California is far away from Massachusetts?
